PPDS Teams Up with FC Barcelona to Raise Funds for Life-Changing Projects for Vulnerable Children
Amsterdam, January 2024: TPV – the world’s leading supplier of displays and the group behind TP Vision, MMD-Monitors and Displays, AOC, and PPDS – is proud to announce a partnership with the FC Barcelona Foundation, confirming a long-term commitment to the raising of invaluable funds to support the health, wellbeing, and education of vulnerable and disadvantaged children around the world.
Each as a part of TPV Cares – the home of TPV’s social and environmental impact initiatives – TP Vision, MMD- Monitors and Displays, AOC, and PPDS have pledged their support to the Barça Foundation, combining their resources to support the charity’s life-changing initiatives and projects.
Set up in 2022, TPV Cares supports communities, charities, and locally organised fundraising and projects in more than 30 countries. From taking on gruelling tasks, such as endurance walks, marathons, and mountain climbs, to providing vital financial funds and solutions – including Philips TVs, professional and interactive displays, desktop monitors, speakers, headphones, and more – TPV Cares helps make a difference to the lives of many. One goal
Celebrating 20 years, and aligned with TPV Cares’ ambitions for positive change, the Barça Foundation was set up with the mission of using sport as a tool for social transformation within the reach of children and young people in vulnerable situations, to improve their quality of life. Last season, the Barça Foundation supported projects positively impacting more than 560,000 children, families, and young people across 15 countries. FC Barcelona donates up to 0.7 per cent of its annual earnings to the Foundation, with the players also donating 0.5 per cent of their salaries, with total money raised in 2022/23 topping €14.2 million.
The partnership between TPV Cares and the Barça Foundation further deepens TPV’s relationship with the footballing giant, after TP Vision became official ‘Main Partner’ for the 2023/2024 season, with its Philips Ambilight TV branding featured prominently on the sleeve of the men’s first team home and away football shirts.
Marta Segú, Executive director of the FC Barcelona Foundation, said: “Based on a new holistic programmatic approach, the FC Barça Foundation works in three main areas: education and protection, community action, and health and emotional wellbeing through its own programs and methodologies. In all our programs we use sport as an important tool to promote social inclusion, and we have a special focus on gender equality and diversity in all forms. We believe that partnerships with organisations like TPV Cares are key to our programs and campaigns – helping us to change the world through sport. Together we can help to make sure no child is left offside.”

Ahead of the official signing of the agreement on 22 January, several projects for 2024 and beyond were identified by the Barça Foundation, including a number in and around Barcelona and Catalonia.
The projects are aligned to the programs ‘Health & Emotional Wellbeing’ related to improve the wellbeing of children in hospitals and day centres, ‘Education & Protection’ related to schools and Barça Teens, and ‘Community action’ where sport is used to empower girls, boys, and young people.
As a part of the commitment, PPDS, the exclusive global provider of Philips Professional Displays and complementary solutions, has already confirmed its 2024 commitment to the Barça Foundation will include a donation of €20 for every person who registers for ISE 2024 using the unique Philips code 1RSHCRQR and who then has their badge scanned at the Philips stand (3P500) reception desk – activating their donation during the show.
TP Vision, MMD, AOC, and PPDS will be sharing their experiences working with the Barça Foundation in due course via the TPV Cares website.
