Sony Professional Displays Announces BRAVIA Displays, PTZ Cameras With AI and Environmental Initiative
Sony Professional Displays debuted the new BRAVIA BZ-L lineup and PTZ cameras (including the SRG-A12, SRG-A40, with enhanced AI PTZ Auto-framing capabilities) today. It also launched the BZ50L, BZ35L, BZ30L and EZ20L in various sizes, with the premium signage model being the BZ40L.
Sony says the products are all aimed at making lessons more engaging, providing support for teachers and inspiring students. The SRG-A40 and SRG-A12 with built-in AI PTZ Auto-framing technology and the 4K Pan-tilt-zoom camera lineup (SRG-X400, SRG-X120 and SRGX40UH) can help in hybrid and hyflex installs.
In environmental news, Sony Group says it is implementing a long-term environmental plan called “Road to Zero,” which aims to reduce its environmental footprint to zero by 2050. As part of this, Sony established the “Green Management 2025” environmental medium-term targets that will take effect from FY2021 through FY2025. Sony Corporation says it is accelerating efforts such as introducing recycled plastics, reducing product power consumption, eliminating plastic from the packaging of newly designed small products and introducing renewable energy.
Sony says its recycled plastic SORPLAS has been integrated into BRAVIA BZ-L series since Summer 2023. All 15 models incorporate sustainable elements, from the use of SORPLAS recycled plastic and less ink usage on the cartons to an optional stand for less waste and Eco Dashboard for a better understanding of power consumption based on settings configuration.
