PhaseTech announced custom length and color Variable Length Soundbars (VLS) – VLS70-LCR for TVs 60” to 70”, and VLS100-LCR for TVs 75” to 100”. These made-to-order 3-channel sound bars are specially crafted to serve as left, center and right speakers using three separate speakers in a complete surround system while aesthetically matching the video display width and color. Both the speaker and matching grille are customized to the specific television model provided by the integrator. The VLS sound bar mounts to a TV bracket or directly to the wall.

PhaseTech says key features of these soundbars include a .75-inch (19.1 mm) silk/synthetic soft dome tweeter, two 3-inch (76.2 mm) ultra-long throw polypropylene woofers with butyl rubber surrounds and two 3-inch (762 mm) ultra-long throw polypropylene bass radiators with butyl rubber surrounds. Absolute Phase Crossover networks ensure precise synchronization of speaker drivers, according to the company. Additionally, the VLS boasts a “sleek design” with a depth of only 2.875” (73.0 mm).

PhaseTech says the soundbars feature a nominal impedance of 8Ω, a sensitivity of 90 dB @ 2.83V/1M and a frequency response ranging from 65 Hz to 20 kHz. The soundbars are recommended to be powered within the 15 – 100 Watts range, and the enclosures are made of black extruded aluminum and feature a passive radiator design. Inputs are via Euroblock connector which come cloth grilles. Color options include black and custom colors.

The dimensions of the soundbars are 6.75” (171.5 mm) H x 54-94” (1372-2388 mm) W x 2.88” (73.0 mm) D. The width varies between 54” to 66” for the VLS70-LCR and 67” to 94” for the VLS100-LCR. The VSL70-LCR weighs 22 lbs. (9.97 Kg) and the VSL100-LCR weighs in at 24 lbs. (10.88 Kg). The company says included accessories comprise a wall mount for easy installation, which involves mounting the bar to the wall, sliding cabinets on and then attaching the grille.
