This is a big week in movie history, #AVtweeps. Not only will the press tours for “Barbie,” “Oppenheimer” and “Mission Impossible” be the last ones we may see for a while, there is already speculation that this will be the last big movie week/weekend for a long time. And if you live near one of the 30 movie theaters worldwide showing “Oppenheimer” in IMAX 70mm with the very coveted 1:43:1 aspect ratio, know that I am incredibly jealous of you. Go forth, #AVtweeps, and view the movie as Christopher Nolan envisioned it.
Now that our AV-adjacent news is out of the way, I suggest you check out one of our columns from AI Appreciation Day. We celebrated July 16 by posting one AI blog an hour from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. This one, in particular, is by Shure’s Stefan Marti and explores how AI is revolutionizing the audio industry.
I also added an insight from Futuresource Consulting this time because of how big and important esports is to the ProAV industry. May I remind y’all how heavily esports was featured at InfoComm? Learn more here about the trends in this market.
P.S. Use code “RAVECE23” for a free show floor pass to attend the brand-new Commercial Integrator Expo in Denver, Colorado, Sept. 7-9. This ProAV show will be co-located with CEDIA Expo, and we can’t wait!
