Control Concepts Hires Jen Edelstein
Control Concepts has expanded its development team with the hiring of industry veteran and residential expert Jen Edelstein.
“As we partner with more manufacturers and control system platforms in all areas of the AV industry to provide solutions that address the need for ease of control, programming and API integration in the form of modules, drivers, plugins and middleware, there has been a growing emphasis on residential systems and applications,” said Steve Greenblatt, CTS, Control Concepts’ president and founder. “The hiring of Jen Edelstein not only validates our commitment to growing our team to support increased demand, it also demonstrates our investment in the residential market. Jen has an ideal combination of skill set, professionalism, demeanor and industry experience that will fit in great with our existing team of six developers.”
“I am thrilled to take the next step in advancing my career in the direction of AV software development,” added Edelstein, who will serve as an AV software developer for the company. “When I learned about what Control Concepts was doing to take AV programming to the next level and [how it] also serves the industry in new and unique ways, I realized that I wanted to be a part of it.”
As a programmer herself, Edelstein has benefited from the work that Control Concepts has provided to the AV industry over the years in the form of free Utility Modules as well as manufacturer partner modules, drivers, plugins and middleware. These solutions help AV programmers complete their projects more efficiently, reliably, and effectively.
With over 15 years of experience in the residential AV market, Edelstein will immediately help Control Concepts increase its presence and name recognition in the professional residential AV space. Edelstein will also bolster the residential knowledge base in support of programmers and manufacturers who rely upon Control Concepts for support when implementing modules, drivers and plugins in their integration projects.
