Humly Wins Two Awards for Premium Booking Device
STOCKHOLM, Sweden – January 5, 2024 – Humly, a workplace experience company with more than a decade of innovation for modernizing business environments, announces that its Humly Booking Device (HBD) has won prestigious awards through its collaboration with No Picnic, the creative design agency behind the HBD’s sleek product design and striking visual aesthetic. The HBD won a German Design Award for Excellent Product Design, Computer and Communication and a GOOD DESIGN® Award in the Electronics category. Both awards were announced in December.
Launched in February at the ISE 2023 Show in Barcelona, the Humly Booking Device is a slim, small, and flexible hardware space booking solution for the modern hybrid workplace. The HBD provides staff and visitors with a versatile capacitive touchscreen solution to view and reserve available bookable spaces on campus. Its slim form factor houses a small, high-resolution LCD display (3.46 inches) and provides flexible mounting and positioning options on and underneath various surfaces, including walls, shelves, desks, and private phone booths.
The German Design Awards sets international standards for innovative design developments and competitiveness on the global market. An international jury of leading experts from all design disciplines is responsible for selecting winners, which included seven innovators from various industries in the Computer and Communication category. The statement from the jury explains that the HBD is “a contemporary tool that looks very modern and high-quality with its clean design language and discreet lighting,” noting that the device also has made a social impact through a sustainable design that “prioritized the total life cycle impact” by using recyclable material.
The HBD is the second German Design Award that Humly is won, following the organization’s recognition of Humly Room Display in 2021. The complete award description can be found at the German Design Award website.
The GOOD DESIGN® Awards creates an awareness about contemporary design and honors both products and industry leaders in design and manufacturing. The awards recognize companies that have chartered new directions for innovation and pushed the envelope for competitive products in the world marketplace.
