Quicklink and Canon have recently joined forces to demonstrate the power of Canon’s award-winning PTZ camera range with Quicklink’s innovative Remote Studio solution at AVITENG Technology Days 2023. This news comes together with an announcement of the Canon CR-N500 PTZ camera and Canon RC-IP100 PTZ controller being included as a Quicklink Remote Studio approved device.

From 13-14 December in Istanbul, Turkey, Quicklink and Canon co-demonstrated the Quicklink Remote Studio which featured three Canon CR-N500 PTZ cameras at AVITENG Technology Days 2023. The premier event is the industry’s most comprehensive and most attended technology event for the broadcasting, film and professional content production sectors in Turkey.

Quicklink Remote Studio is an all-in-one, multi-camera remote studio solution for complete remote control of the camera and all other elements of a studio from a single, easy and intuitive web-based user interface.

“It was an honor to sponsor Technology Days 2023 and demonstrate the ground-breaking Quicklink Remote Studio solution alongside Canon Europe” said Richard Rees, CEO of Quicklink.

Over the two-day show, Quicklink Remote Studio received huge praise and admiration from all attendees. The live demonstration built in partnership with Canon enabled visitors to experience first-hand the advantages and practicality that the all-in-one, single solution brings to broadcasters, production companies, sports organizations, and corporates.

In addition, on 13th December, Quicklink CEO, Richard Rees, addressed the conference area of the exhibition hall – completely remotely utilizing the Quicklink Remote Studio. At a home studio in the Pyrenees, a three-camera Canon setup was built that could be remotely controlled with ease by a Director and Engineers/Technicians in United Kingdom through the powerful Quicklink Bridge technology.

“We wanted to give the presentation a new dimension over the traditional presentation, whilst also giving a practical example of how Quicklink Remote Studio can be used,” said Richard. “Having set up a three-camera remote studio, I was able to deliver an engaging presentation over 3,500km away from Istanbul that was remotely controlled by a Director and Engineers located in the United Kingdom – completely faultlessly!”
