Ans (Belgium), January 25, 2024 – DELTACAST, a leader in live video transport solutions, introduces the support of IPMX, the emerging AV over IP open standard for Pro AV, through dedicated video products and an SDK for developers.

Drawing on its long-term expertise in IP within the broadcast market – which began with ST 2022-6 and later ST 2110 -, DELTACAST extends its solutions to the Pro AV market by actively participating in the IPMX movement.

IPMX is an open standard based on the same foundations as SMPTE ST 2110 from the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE), which DELTACAST currently supports through its video cards and NIC-agnostic software implementation.

DELTACAST has confidence in the role of the IPMX open standard in Pro AV workflow interoperability. “Unlike proprietary standards that hinder interoperability and result in vendor lock-in or expensive proprietary integrations, technology based on open standards is likely the key to guiding product developers toward IPMX adoption“, said Gérald Olivier, Head of Product Marketing at DELTACAST.

IPMX is about to be officially published, and DELTACAST offers product developers the first building blocks to start implementing, through its IP Virtual Card, video SDK, and NMOS samples.

For more information, DELTACAST will be exhibiting at ISE 2024, from January 30 to February 2. At booth 4K460, developers will see a full range of video over IP transport solutions to bring IPMX-ready products to the market.
