Bond, Draper at Home’s Roller Shades Now Compatible With Bond Bridge Pro and Sidekick for Shades
Bond and Draper at Home announced that its roller shades (powered by Somfy) are now compatible with Bond Bridge Pro RF-to-WiFi device hub and Sidekick for Shades Gen2 wireless universal keypad.
The companies say the Bond Bridge Pro ($379) and accompanying Bond Home App (iOS and Android phones) bring control of up to 50 motorized window shades (ceiling fans and gas fireplaces too) in a 3,500-square-foot home. The app adds new capabilities such as scheduling plus integration with leading voice control and home automation systems. This includes Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, SmartThings Apps and Crestron, Savant, Control4, Josh.ai, Nice, RTI, URC and Homebridge automation.
Bond says the Sidekick for Shades Gen2 ($99) is a wireless, flush-mount, battery-powered keypad that communicates directly via RF with a wide universe of shades including Draper At Home. By itself, the keypad has a range of 2,000 square feet. When mated with the Bond Bridge Pro, the keypad’s range increases to the Bridge’s 3500 square feet, and when the two are integrated into a home automation system, the system can depict status of the shade’s operation. Bond says the keypad ships with interchangeable five- and one-channel button pads; a decora faceplate (attaches to wall or control box) and 10-year replaceable coin cell battery.
