Hi, #AVtweeps! Check out the latest column from Bob Snyder, all about the inaugural INTEGRATE ME show — and its success. Read his recap of the show here. Also, Peter Hansen of AVIXA writes about the importance of company values when recruiting talent in the AV industry — values are important to job seekers of all ages. Finally, our friends at Futuresource wrote an insight about professional power amplifiers and their place in the market right now.
Plus, Barco and Crestron entered a global patent license agreement to help spur the growth of the BYOM (bring-your-own meeting) market. Integrated Systems Events has expanded its senior leadership team and more.
The industry held its breath (several attempts in the MENA region have failed) and at first glance, many weren’t sure of the compatibility of CabSat. While official numbers haven’t been released yet, nothing talks louder than buyers coming in the door and exhibitors (who must be tough about getting the most out of their investment) singing praises.
Company values matter. They impact how your business runs, they impact our society, and, according to new data, they hold substantial importance to the ProAV workforce. The link between company values and hiring is not an entirely new topic. In recent years, more and more data has shown that workers place meaningful importance on what companies stand for when they choose where to work. (Note: Research has traditionally focused on values in general without picking out a specific subject or cause.) The importance is such that workers are willing to give up real money to ensure their labor is spent at an organization they feel good about—at least in the wider economy.
Professional power amplifiers continue to gain momentum after a pandemic-induced poor performance in 2020. The market achieved a global value of $668 million in 2022, according to Futuresource Consulting’s latest industry report, and is on track to exceed pre-pandemic levels this year, with a projected market value of $753 million.
