Hello, #AVtweeps! It’s your last newsletter of the year. If you’ve hung on this long, thank you! I send all these newsletters hoping they’re helpful to you or that they’re the news you particularly want to read. I always welcome feedback, so please let me know how I can continue improving these!
I really liked Scott Tiner’s column this time. We really are living in a hyper-political world. Your views and values bleed into everything — so some people separate their personal social media from the professional. I’ve never bothered doing this — being myself is half my job, and it doesn’t feel authentic to create a professional Twitter persona. That said, different things work for different people and different companies. I just don’t think it’s possible to just not discuss “very disruptive” topics at work. We’re in the era of open books and open discourse. What do you think?
Sorry for that tangent but I always welcome discussion, so you are welcome to add me on LinkedIn or tweet at me on the bird app if you want to discuss more!
Happy Holidays to all of you! You’re the best part of my job. Thank you for reading.
