Heads up, #AVtweeps, from the latest in supply chain issues to the Pearl Tech Annual Showcase, we have all your latest news right here.
As mentioned above, Scott Tiner looks into the ins and outs of all the supply chain shortages we’ve been experiencing and wonders what the lasting effects will be on the AV industry. In other news, Megan A. Dutta attended the Pearl Tech Annual Showcase and wrote about her experience.
Also, we’re gearing up for a busy week next week as we attend CEDIA Expo, plus we have a LAVNCH & LEARN at 2 p.m. EDT all about the metaverse. What does that have to do with AV? Why should you care? Join to find out more! Also, did you know that you can watch any of our past LAVNCH & LEARNS on demand? So if you missed the one last week in which Chuck Wilson and Cynthia Menna discussed the current state of the AV market, you’ll want to register and watch because they also discussed strategies for 2023 to help AV integrators get business back on track. Check it out here!
What this thread got me thinking today, however, is about how companies are surviving this time period. From all the discussions I have with my peers, it feels like manufacturers are able to provide about 25% of what we would be getting prior to March 2020. Most troubling in my mind though is the catch-22 in which manufacturers find themselves. If a company is struggling to build its product because its supply chain is unstable, when will that ever catch up?
Earlier this week, #AVTweeps descended upon the Peoria Riverfront Museum for the Second Annual Pearl Technology Showcase. Over 150 AV professionals gathered to check out the latest ProAV solutions from companies like AtlasIED, Q-SYS, Absen, Sonance, Top Shelf Digital Media and more.
