I know what you’re thinking. “How much longer do we have to endure all the troubles with the supply chain?” This has probably affected us all more than we thought it would (at least at first). While there are people out there working to fix the issues this has posed in our industry, there are still plenty of you waiting for product. What do we do? How much longer are we going to have to wait? Scott Tiner looks into both of these questions in his latest column. If manufacturers can provide about 25% of the product they were able to provide before March 2020, how will companies catch up?
I want to remind you all that it’s not all bleak. There are companies with available products — you may have to try a different brand or go down a path you weren’t initially planning. With that, here are a few new products to check out this time: a new offering from FOR-A called SOAR-A, Key Digital’s latest 4K UHD video wall processor and switcher and more.
What this thread got me thinking today, however, is about how companies are surviving this time period. From all the discussions I have with my peers, it feels like manufacturers are able to provide about 25% of what we would be getting prior to March 2020. Most troubling in my mind though is the catch-22 in which manufacturers find themselves. If a company is struggling to build its product because its supply chain is unstable, when will that ever catch up?
