Did you hear the news about WAVIT? The organization officially launched Tuesday, Jan. 17. Women in AV/IT will work to provide education and resources for women and girls entering the AV industry. Its network will support and empower women in both the AV and IT industries. Check out this interview with Jennifer Goodyer for more information and how to get involved — I think you’ll want to be part of some of the great work the organization is doing.
Also, if you frequent Twitter at all, chances are you’ve seen the hype about ChatGPT. This AI-based chat function is designed to give human-like responses to questions. While this is alarming for people like me who write for a living, it can also be useful. Did you know this tool can write code for you? Perhaps, write a script to remotely reboot a display, change the content shown, etc. Check out Scott Tiner’s piece for more on this horrifying/interesting phenomenon.
