Scott Tiner attended one of Crestron’s Town Halls in his latest column. While the chip shortage stories are still all the rage, Scott writes all about what he learned from Crestron. One of the most important lessons he gleaned was that the NVX has about 2,500 different parts and pieces. While these parts used to cost a few cents apiece, today they can cost $30-40 each. Take that and a few supply issues and you’ve got yourself the perfect storm. Read more about the Town Hall here.
In our other column this time, Alistair Johnston of Futuresource takes a look at meeting room cameras and how the market is showing buoyancy right now. With 360-degree cameras heading this charge, the market pushed sales above $1 billion in 2021.
That’s all from me. Have a great rest of the week!
